Tray Table, 2010
Stainless Steel, Fast food trays
The Tray Table is an evolutionary design that reconsiders the role of the dining table in contemporary western society. The individual trays can be combined collectively to form a table top in the traditional sense or used individually to eat in front of the TV.
The Tray Table is a pragmatic response to changing lifestyles and eating habits. It acknowledges the tension between the past and present, fast food and slow food, individuality and collectivity, reason and emotion.
